QCD Limits
As of November 14, 2024, you can make up to $105,000 of QCDs. If you are married, filing jointly and your spouse qualifies, your limit can be up to $210,000. The QCD satisfies your RMD up to $100,000. While you will not get an income tax deduction, you will not have to pay tax on the distribution. In order for this to work, your IRA administrator must make the distribution directly to St. Clare of Assisi.
Before making any decisions that may affect your income tax planning, contact your financial advisor.
Required Minimum Distributions
If you are required to make a minimum distribution (RMD), you can make an RMD by contacting your IRA administrator and asking them to make a direct distribution to St. Clare of Assisi. This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
