Knights of the Altar

The Knights of the Altar is a fraternity of young men seeking to grow in the faith by serving god and his church who also assist at holy mass. our knights of the altar are dedicated to serving our lord who is truly present in the eucharist as they discern the holy spirit’s call for their future involvement in vocations. it is our hope that, by training these young men to be servants of the eucharist, some of them may discern their vocational call to the priesthood or diaconate.

ref. francis e. benz, a diocesan priest from st. paul, minnesota, formed the knights of the altar in 1938. today, knights of the altar are known to be active in parishes throughout the united states (including our very own parish!), canada, ireland, and the philippines.
