Family Faith Formation

Our parish is deeply committed to forming disciples and living out our Catholic faith with passion and purpose. Through our evangelization efforts and our Family Faith Formation program, we provide opportunities for families to grow spiritually together.

Our program is designed for students from kindergarten through fifth grade, and for students who have not received their Sacraments in the normal sequence, up to grade 12. It is meant to be a collaborative journey, with parents playing an essential role. At least one parent is required to remain on-site during the Family Formation session, participating in classes while their children engage with our dedicated catechists. This approach fosters a shared understanding of faith and strengthens the spiritual foundations of the family.

We encourage children to begin Faith Formation in first grade. If your child has already been baptized, weekly sessions will focus on the liturgical readings to deepen their understanding of the Mass. Our program for grades 1-5 follows Walking With Jesus, published by Sophia Institute.

For those in Faith Formation, the Preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation follows a three-year program:

  • Year 1 (typically grade 1): lays a strong foundation in faith

  • year 2 (typically grade 2): focuses on the Sacrament of Confession (Reconciliation)

  • Year 3 (typically grade 3): Dedicated to sacramental preparation for Confirmation and First Holy Communion

Family Formation, Grades 1-5 Children’s & Adaptive Programming

  • Two session options:

    • Sundays: 10:15-11:20am
